Chief Ministers in Tamil Nadu after Independence
Here is a list of Chief Ministers in Tamil Nadu after India’s independence in 1947:
O. P. Ramaswamy Reddiar: Served as the first Chief Minister of Madras State from 1947 to 1947 (until the state was renamed as Tamil Nadu).
Kumaraswami Kamaraj: Served as the Chief Minister of Madras State from 1954 to 1963. He played a significant role in promoting education and implementing social welfare schemes.
M. Bhaktavatsalam: Served as the Chief Minister of Madras State from 1963 to 1967. He focused on industrial development and welfare programs during his tenure.
V. R. Nedunchezhiyan (acting): Served as the Acting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for a brief period in 1967.
